For this Project, we were placed into teams and tasked with creating a unique graphical style that honored American Heroes. This was done in collaboration with the Office of American Spaces within the Department of State to celebrate the United States 250th anniversary.
Our group chose to honor Aretha Franklin, an American R&B and Soul Singer. We leaned into the 1960's retro aesthetic that was used on concert posters and advertisements for artists of the era. The colors used were often bright, flat, and bold which translated well to modern audiences that would see these on social media sites.
